Is it possible to make it so that the REFERRER part of the sign up can't be edited? But they can clear their cookies so it will be clear? Because I think people clear that part and sign up without being referred.

That is exactly what they do. People, for absolutely no reason seem to hate being a ref.

Unless they change the URL before clicking on it, they will still show up as your referral. The "referred by" is in the URL, as well as the box for it.
